In Mathematics 30-2 students use numerical and logical reasoning to solve puzzles, and solve real-life problems about the probability of events occurring. They solve problems algebraically involving rational equations; investigate exponential, logarithmic, polynomial, and sinusoidal functions; and research and present a mathematical topic of their choice.

Prerequisite: Math 20-2: 50%. Students without the prerequisite must withdraw from class with no refund if they are under 20 years of age as of September 1 of the current school year. 

Students taking this course must write a diploma exam according to the provincial assessment calendar.

  • Students under 20 years on September 1 of the current school year: $75 non-refundable program fee.
  • Students over 20 years on September 1 of the current school year: $75 non-refundable program fee plus a $600 tuition fee.
