In the English 10-2 program, students will develop a variety of reading, comprehension and writing strategies and they will respond to texts at a variety of different levels of sophistication. This course sequence - 10-2, 20-2, 30-2 - satisfies the English Language Arts requirements for a high school diploma and it will prepare students for some post-secondary programs.

Prerequisite: Language Arts 9: 50%. (A student that has passed/ achieved ESL Level 5 may also take this course.) Students without the prerequisite must withdraw from class with no refund if they are under 20 years of age as of September 1 of the current school year.

Classes begin with a teacher-led live lesson. Students are expected to be present on all days and to participate and be engaged in learning activities for the duration of class time.

For this course students must have a laptop, desktop, or Chromebook with a webcam, microphone, and internet access. All reading and study materials are online, and your teacher will provide access.

TOTAL COST:
  • Students under 20 years on September 1 of the current school year: $75 non-refundable program fee.
  • Students over 20 years on September 1 of the current school year: $75 non-refundable program fee plus a $600 tuition fee.
